When running Zmodem over Telnet, transfer errors or dropped connections occur because Telnet interprets Zmodem's binary data stream as command instructions. Telnet's escape character, the IAC (Interpret As Command, 0xFF), must be escaped by duplicating it (0xFF 0xFF) to prevent the server from accidentally executing it.
Check if your client on the Amiga has an option to escape control characters, akin to the ZmodemEscCtl option in TeraTerm.
